Photographers, filmmakers, and artists draw inspiration from studying photographs, films, and artwork from masters in the genre.

But what’s missing is hearing about the mistakes, the shoots that went badly, frustrations, deadlines, and overall challenges and problems in trying to get that project done.

The Done Over Perfect podcast interviews established creators so that we can all learn from them and become inspired. We draw more inspiration in seeing how experienced colleagues make mistakes, have to give up perfection, deal with pressure, and just sometimes have get the shoot completed — even if it means it’s not “perfect” for their vision.
